Eirini Stavrakopoulou
Eirini Stavrakopoulou est artiste plasticienne d’origine grecque. Ayant reçu la bourse grecque de la Fondation des bourses d’État (IKY), en 2008 elle obtient le Master de Recherche en Cinéma (Université Montpellier III) et en 2009 elle obtient le Master de Recherche en Arts Plastiques et Histoire de la Photo (Université Paris VIII).
La question qui traverse tous ses projets est la question de la narration dans la photographie. Son travail explore les limites de l’espace de la représentation photographique et à travers l’installation et la manipulation de la matière photographique tente d’introduire les formes de la réalité dans un nouvel espace.
Aussi le voyage joue un rôle décisif qui nourrit ses projets et canalise sa recherche par rapport à la photo. Elle a voyagé en plus de 26 pays, en Asie, en Amérique Latine et en Afrique. Elle a exposé son travail en Belgium, en France et en Grèce. Elle vit et travaille à Paris.

Eirini Stavrakopoulou is Greek plastician artist who lives and works in Paris. She is a scholar of the State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.), Greece. In 2008, she obtained the Master of Arts in “Cinema” at Université Montpellier III, Paul-Valéry and in 2009, she obtained the Master of Plastic Arts in “Photography and Aesthetics” at Université Paris 8, St. Denis. She holds a BA degree in Photography (Athens Technological Educational Institute).
The question that runs through all her projects is the question of storytelling in photography. Her work explores the limits of the space of photographic representation and through the installation and the manipulation of photographic material attempts to introduce the forms of reality into a new space.
Finally, traveling is a decisive factor that feeds and channels her research on photography. She has traveled in more than 26 countries, in Asia, in Latin America and Africa. She has exhibited her work in Belgium, France and Greece.
